Thank You
Like all Scout Groups, 2nd Renfrew wouldn’t exist without the support of leaders, members, family, friends and external organisations.
This ‘Thank You Wall’ is therefore to record our formal thanks to the following (the listing is in date order, with the most recent thanks at the top, after the first two, which are standing thank you items):
- First and foremost, we’re always grateful to our leaders, young people, their guardians, and residents around the church halls, all of whom give us continuous support, particularly during the Covid pandemic, throughout which our neighbours coped very well with the noise levels at our many outside meetings
- Trinity Church, Renfrew (for providing a safe and secure meeting place, both indoors and out)
- McWhinnie Butcher, Renfrew (for making very tasty meat pies for our alternative Burns Supper in January 2025. They were so tasty, they were demolished very quickly by our Scouts!)
- Aldi Supermarket, Renfrew (for assistance with lots of tubs of tablet ice cream for our Burns Suppers)
- Helena & Nikki at Paisley Print Centre, Paisley (for professional scanning of documents in 2024 and fantastic printing of all paperwork for our memorabilia events, not to mention keeping us calm in the run up to these events, and printing items since then)
- JKM Industrial Supply Merchants, Paisley (for assistance with the Survival Camp in May 2023 and for timber for making bug boxes at Friday Night Cubs)
- Bannatyne (Butcher), Renfrew (for support with the coffee morning in 2023)
- ARW Events (for providing the music for the Final Fling which closed our Centenary year)
- McHart Ceilidh Band (for keeping us all going with the music at the Centenary Ceilidh in 2022)
- Heera Restaurant, Renfrew (for support with our ‘Alternative’ Burns Suppers)
- Shop Smart, Renfrew (for assistance with items for inclusion in Summer and Christmas Activity Packs and all manner of items since 2021)
- Mr. Angus Martin, Historian and Author of ‘Another Summer in Kintyre’ (for sending us a copy of his book and other assistance of research in to the Group’s history)
- Catherine Barbour, Keil Farm, Southend, Campbeltown (for sending photographs in connection with the Group’s history)
- C Hanlon, Glasgow (for support provided for our Centenary Ceilidh)
- Angelwax, Renfrew (for support in various formats)
